I worked in the NZ public service for 25 years as an indicator specialist, first in Health and then in Science and Innovation. Took early retirement a few years ago so that I can do only the things I want to do and am inspired by. Two wonderful sons who are active in the community doing amazing things. My constant companion is Vanna the dog who is quite unique. I write, and am involved in Transition Towns Kapiti.

Single Aussie dad with shared custody, I work in IT, I rent and I'm building a chook tractor, bike trailer and permaculture back garden, and I'm transitioning myself at the moment. The time has come to act locally to prepare ourselves for the long term, how do we want our society(ies) to go forward from here. And going forward doesn't mean the growth we've grown up with. It shouldn't measured by how much material wealth you covet but by how much spiritual & happiness wealth you can attain.
